Location: 1120 W Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Dress Code: Scrubs; navy blue preferred
Interview Process: In person, 1–2 rounds
Position Overview
The Medical Receptionist provides front-desk and administrative support within a busy healthcare environment. This role is responsible for creating a positive first impression for patients, supporting registration and scheduling-related tasks, and helping ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, organized, computer literate, and comfortable working directly with patients in a healthcare setting. Bilingual Spanish skills and Epic EMR experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Check patients in and properly arrive them for scheduled visits
- Enter and update patient registration information, including demographics and insurance details
- Complete patient reminder calls
- Scan and upload documents into the appropriate systems
- Maintain accurate patient and administrative records
- Perform general clerical and front-office duties
- Assist with patient questions and direct them to the appropriate team member when needed
- Support Medical Assistants, clinicians, and nurses with administrative needs
- Help maintain an organized and efficient reception area
- Complete additional administrative assignments as needed
Required Qualifications
- Previous healthcare or medical office experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and comfort learning new systems
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Medical Receptionist experience
- Experience using Epic EMR
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Prior experience with patient registration and insurance data entry
Team Environment
The Medical Receptionist will work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team that includes Medical Assistants, clinicians, and nurses.
This position requires strong communication, teamwork, and a patient-focused approach to supporting daily clinic operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting and be comfortable interacting with patients throughout the day. Candidates should be dependable, organized, computer literate, and able to provide excellent customer service while managing multiple administrative responsibilities.
