PolicyWorks, a government affairs and public relations firm, is seeking a creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will develop and execute social media strategies for a variety of clients, creating fresh, engaging content that reflects each client’s unique voice, brand, and goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and learn their organizations, brands, audiences, and policy goals.
- Develop social media strategies that help clients tell their stories and increase awareness.
- Create and manage social media content calendars.
- Write, edit, and proofread engaging social media copy aligned with each client’s voice and objectives.
- Design graphics and videos to support social media campaigns and content.
- Collaborate with clients to review and approve content before publication.
- Monitor clients’ social media accounts, engagement, comments, messages, and inquiries.
- Research emerging social media, digital media, marketplace and consumer trends.
- Support other PR activities, including graphic design, events, and special projects.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or a related field preferred
- Experience in social media marketing, content development and/or content development experience
- Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn, TikTok, and Snapchat
- Proficiency with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong graphic design, visual storytelling, and project management skills
- Excellent persuasive, written and verbal communications skills
