Front of House Manager - Uchi Newport (Come train with us at Uchi West Hollywood!)

Hai Hospitality (Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba) is accepting applications for an experienced Restaurant Front of House Manager for Uchi in Newport Beach. The position reports to and works closely with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to deliver exceptional dining experiences and lead the front‑of‑house service team. Training occurs at the Uchi West Hollywood location, and applicants must be willing to relocate temporarily for training. The role is based in Newport Beach, CA with initial training in West Hollywood, CA . Compensation is a base salary between $70,000 and $85,000, depending on experience. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate front‑of‑house operations, ensuring service quality and guest satisfaction. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement operational standards, training plans, and service initiatives. Monitor and manage P&L reporting and inventory procedures for the front‑of‑house section. Supervise, coach, and develop guest‑service staff, maintaining a professional and hygienic appearance. Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and safety guidelines. Address guest concerns promptly and maintain operational efficiency in high‑volume environments. Assist in reconfiguring seating arrangements and managing seating capacity during peak operations. Support kitchen and service equipment usage, including safe handling of ovens, grills, and knives. Qualifications Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in a high‑volume, full‑service restaurant. Evening and weekend availability. Experience with P&L reporting and inventory control. Strong knowledge of food and beverage. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
