Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides comprehensive triage, assessment, and direct patient care to individuals presenting with urgent health concerns. This role involves working collaboratively within a dynamic emergency care team to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered services.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and prioritize patients' conditions upon admission to ensure prompt and appropriate care.
• Administer IV medications, blood products, and therapies as ordered by physicians.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Document all nursing interventions, observations, and patient responses accurately in medical records.
• Assume charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed to support team functions.
• Maintain compliance with emergency department protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid registered nurse license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of emergency department nursing experience.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience.
• Exhibit strong assessment, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Be willing and able to work in charge nurse and preceptor roles when required.
• Be a licensed nurse in good standing with no current background or license hits/actions.
