Program Assistant

The C.A.R.E. Wellness Center is a 501(c)3-approved nonprofit organization founded in 2020 and based in Washington state. Our mission is to provide a safe farm stay, holistic retreat, and wellness programs for black, indigenous, people of color and allies, to recover from Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome via Spirituality, Agro-Tourism, and Racial Justice. We have designed our first pilot program, the C.A.R.E. Summer Re-Entry Program (SREP), a research program to serve young BIPOC adults after incarceration at no/low cost to support their rehabilitation from multigenerational trauma and reintegrate into their communities, avoiding recidivism. Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Assistant to support our program and administration teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing clerical support, organizing and coordinating various programs, and meticulously managing scheduling and all files and participant data. The Program Assistant will provide clerical support to program and administrative staff, including document preparation, data entry, and correspondence management. They will organize and coordinate programs and events, ensuring seamless execution and participant satisfaction. They will also maintain and organize all files and participant data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. Responsibilities Provide clerical support to program and administrative staff, including document preparation, data entry, and correspondence management. Assist in the development of program materials and the distribution of promotional content. Serve as a point of contact for program participants, addressing inquiries and providing guidance. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. Support the monitoring and reporting of program outcomes. Essential Functions Types 35+ WPM Excellent oral, text and written skills Preparing documentation and reports for the Programs Team Clerical support for Cross-Functional meeting announcements, agenda, and notes Assisting in the planning and overseeing significant program events Supporting Program Operations Manual updates and edits Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in administration or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
