Skilled Nursing Facility Occupational Therapist - Chimayo, NM

An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in grades K-8 during the 26/27 school year in Chimayo, NM. This full-time, contract position provides a meaningful setting within a school environment, focusing on delivering therapeutic support to a caseload of 34 students.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services tailored to students' individual needs within grades K-8
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Maintain timely documentation and reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with school-based therapy experience
• Skilled in assessing and treating pediatric populations, especially in school settings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care with educators and families
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions accordingly
