About This Role The Registered Nurse – OBGYN at Northwell Health is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the mother-baby unit. This role is ideal for nurses with a strong background in maternal and newborn care. Highlights Location: Bay Shore, NY Schedule: Full-Time Facility: Southside Hospital What You'll Do Collect and organize patient data using all possible resources. Examine patients to determine physical status through interview, observation, and inspection. Identify and record patients' physical and psycho-social conditions. Formulate care plans that identify patient needs in priority order. Collaborate with the health team to address patient needs. Deliver care that communicates the worth and dignity of patients. Administer medications and treatments according to established policies. Document patient data on the Nursing Care Plan and write clear Nurses Notes. Evaluate progress toward goal achievement and initiate nursing actions as needed. Suggest constructive changes in the delivery or monitoring of patient care. Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience 2 years of inpatient mother-baby experience required. Licenses & Certifications Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Current NRP, BLS, ACLS certifications required.
