This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. The role includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. The Fleet Certification Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness of Blue Origin's motor vehicle fleet. This position is responsible for overseeing certifications and compliance‑related activities outlined in the Fleet Safety Manual. The Fleet Certification Administrator must ensure fleet operations adhere to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act (FMCSA) and Blue Origin's specific policies and procedures. This role involves direct interaction with drivers, supervisors, and management to establish a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities Ensure all drivers complete required safety training and certifications in accordance with FMCSA and Blue Origin policies Monitor fleet operations for compliance with DOT regulations and company policies Monitor fleet compliance policies and procedure documentation Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to safety standards and procedures Coordinate random drug testing with CDL drivers and Consortium Participate in mock audits with the fleet team Coordinate with all drivers for continued compliance of current driver's licenses and medical certificates Complete annual reviews on Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) for states that require yearly compliance Complete Medical Examiner's National Registry Verification Forms when needed Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse violation reporting and return‑to‑duty reporting Maintain and update Driver Qualification Files (DQ) to ensure all documents are current and compliant Oversee the collection, review, and documentation of motor vehicle records for all drivers Ensure complete and accurate documentation is maintained for all fleet‑related incidents in accordance with FMCSA requirements and Blue Origin policies Track incident records and support corrective action follow‑through to verify closure and prevent recurrence Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience in fleet management, with a focus on safety and compliance In‑depth knowledge of FMCSA and other relevant DOT regulations Proven experience in conducting safety audits, training programs, and compliance management Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage a team Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Ability to travel as needed for audits and training Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent Experience with implementing and managing fleet tracking and telematics systems Experience using data analytics tools Knowledge of fleet maintenance and asset management practices Background in aerospace, complex industrial manufacturing, or other specialized high‑tech environments where CMV operations support production and launch activities rather than traditional commercial freight Experience with data analytics and performance measurement in fleet operations Experience with policy writing
