Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / IMC unit setting, managing a progressive care patient population
• Potential to float to additional units caring for the same patient population as needed
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility standards
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at minimum every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations, with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Stepdown or IMC specialty; travel experience in the specialty is acceptable
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission (Compact licenses accepted for starts dated 1/1/2023 and forward)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification (no pending status accepted)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross ACLS certification (no pending status accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification (no pending status accepted)
• No open licensing actions or background hits; open cases are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PCU / Progressive Care experience
• 18 months of Stepdown experience within a single location (combined experience across locations is also considered)
