Job Description Job Description ** Job Title: Bookkeeper ** ** Location: Glencoe, IL (100% Onsite) ** ** Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000 (Based on experience & qualifications) ** ** Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) ** Role Overview: Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Bookkeeper with our client located in Glencoe, IL. Our client is an established high-end residential and multifamily real estate development firm focused on Chicago’s North Shore. This is a newly created position due to growth and an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and work closely with experienced leadership. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, strong accounting fundamentals, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Real estate or construction experience is a plus. Bookkeeper Responsibilities: Process and code vendor invoices and manage vendor payments Maintain subcontractor compliance files, including COIs, W-9s, and lien waivers Maintain and reconcile job cost records to the general ledger Assist with budgets, variance tracking, and construction draw documentation Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple entities Track intercompany transactions Process deposits and support AR, buyer payments, capital contributions, and HOA collections Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close Support the Controller with lender reporting and financial packages Qualifications: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong accounting and business acumen Proficiency with Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Real estate or construction accounting experience is a plus Brilliant Staffing, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
