Patient Services Coord/Receptionist

Overview Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient Service Coordinator/Receptionist supporting our breast surgery clinic in Lone Tree. We are seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler to support a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering comprehensive breast care. This role is responsible for coordinating patient appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgical consultations while ensuring a seamless experience for patients and providers. Success in this position requires excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and a commitment to outstanding patient service. • Schedules new patients and return appointments in computer system in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines. Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel.
• Obtains correspondence relating to referrals in patients charts and computer.
• Schedules outpatient appointments/testing upon request.
• Handles new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, assigns the patient account number and schedules appointment.
• Collects co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.
• Handles incoming phone calls from patients needing to schedule or reschedule appointments.
• Provides patients with accurate and legible appointment cards. Documents no shows in patient’s chart for missed visits. Follows up with patient to reschedule any missed appointments. -Arranges for patients to have financial counseling as needed.
• Demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation.
• Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.

Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Position requires at least 3 year office experience, medical office preferred. Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency with computer systems a requirement. Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
