This opportunity will play a key role in our design/build process by performing site due diligence, designing & drafting land development concept plans, and guiding our clients through the first steps toward bringing their building to life. You will help solve the big picture while leaving the details to others. Responsibilities Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to inform site planning for cost and constructability Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and help define project direction with the Design/Build contracting team Necessary Qualifications BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline 2-8 years of land planning experience in Austin AutoCAD Civil 3D experience; creating templates and styles is a plus Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently Ability to read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA flood maps, FWS wetland maps, and related civil/survey drawings Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required.
