Non-Negotiables

• You must hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• You must have at least eight years of experience in mechanical engineering
• At least five of those years must involve mission-critical custom enclosures
• You must have specific hands-on experience with generator enclosures, fuel tanks, or UL standards
• You must be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD (3D), and similar engineering design tools
• You must demonstrate strong mechanical design skills in commercial or industrial construction settings
• You must possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for industrial control panel enclosures, skids, cabinets, and integrated assemblies
• Direct the design of custom generator enclosures and integrated power distribution systems
• Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, sales, and manufacturing teams to deliver projects on schedule and within scope
• Mentor junior engineers and designers through technical guidance and thorough design reviews
• Identify and implement improvements in design efficiency, standardization, and manufacturability
• Produce detailed design packages including drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Serve as the primary technical contact for clients throughout each project's lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
• Experience with power distribution modules and electrical houses (E-Houses) is a strong advantage
• Demonstrated success leading design reviews and mentoring engineering teams is desirable
• Strong client-facing communication and project management skills will set you apart
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD and simulation tools is a bonus
• Experience in high-growth manufacturing environments is beneficial
