Job Summary: Provide compassionate and professional neurodiagnostic testing services to patients, physicians, and healthcare teams by accurately performing EEG and EP tests and effectively communicating results to ordering practitioners. Essential Responsibilities: Conduct clear and interpretable EEGs and evoked potentials on a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, both inpatient and outpatient. Adapt care techniques based on patient age and medical condition. Maintain neurodiagnostic equipment and laboratory safety standards to ensure high-quality testing. Facilitate patient transportation to and from the lab or perform portable EEG recordings when necessary. Execute specialized recordings such as electrocerebral silence tests following established protocols. Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to support patient care and maintain positive working relationships. Coordinate testing schedules with department supervisors to manage workload fluctuations. Order and manage laboratory supplies to support uninterrupted operations. Continuously expand knowledge of neurological disorders affecting test results. Accurately enter billing charges into the hospital's system. Assist management with quality control and maintenance programs to uphold testing accuracy and reliability. Participate in educational in-services as required by the department. Education and Experience: Must be a Registered EEG Technologist or meet ABRET requirements to obtain Registered EEG Credential. Enrollment in an accredited EEG program is acceptable for new graduates, who have one year to achieve certification. Licensure/Certifications: ABRET Board Certification is mandatory.
