Controls Engineer
Our client, a global automotive manufacturing leader, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting production, maintenance, and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, leadership ability, and effective communication which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Controls Engineer Location: Columbus, Indiana. Pay Range: $37 - $45/hour
What's the Job?
- Provide controls and electrical engineering support to manufacturing cells and maintenance teams
- Troubleshoot and optimize PLC programs to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency
- Develop, modify, and implement control systems and automation programs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance quality
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve technical issues
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline (or 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience)
- Experience in manufacturing, preferably within the automotive industry
- Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (electrical and mechanical)
- Strong expertise in automation systems and manufacturing technologies
