Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations.

• Perform rapid patient assessment and triage in the ER setting.

• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocol.

• Document patient conditions, treatments, and outcomes accurately in EHR.

• Prioritize and manage multiple critical patients during high-volume shifts.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to formulate care plans.

• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in performance metrics, quality improvement initiatives, and pipeline planning.

• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care.

• Maintain readiness of ER equipment and ensure inventory control.

• Demonstrate ongoing professional development and pursue opportunities for advancement.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active California RN license and BLS certification required.

• Minimum 2 years ER or acute care nursing experience.

• Proficiency with EHR documentation and rapid triage using standardized tools.

• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients during dynamic shifts.

• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred or required.

• Strong teamwork with physicians and interdisciplinary staff; effective communication.

• Knowledge of hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and career progression.

• Participation in quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics.

• On-site availability at Fort Bragg, CA; willingness to work varied shifts including nights.
