Job Details Location: Spokane, WA 99204 Setting: Labor & Delivery / High-Acuity Obstetrical Care Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,380 Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule Type: Block scheduling Float: May float between Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, or other functional areas as needed Weekend Coverage: Some weekend shifts required Orientation: 12 hours Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state; compact license required at submission Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Experience with high-risk obstetrical care and patient ratios in an acute care hospital setting Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP Proficiency with Epic charting required Experience managing complex obstetric conditions such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, inductions, and maternal emergencies Must be comfortable with weekend shifts and floating as needed Two professional references covering at least 1 year of recent experience within the last 3 years Must be able to meet facility compliance requirements, including timely submission of requested documentation Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and high-risk obstetric patients Monitor fetal status, assess labor progress, and respond to changes in maternal or fetal condition Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, inductions, augmentations, and VBAC/TOLAC cases Support management of obstetric emergencies including hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, and other urgent maternal situations Administer medications and therapies such as magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and pain management interventions per protocol Perform thorough assessments and provide patient education throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum process Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary support teams Maintain accurate documentation and workflow using Epic electronic health record (EHR) Participate in a team-oriented environment focused on quality outcomes and excellent patient experience Apply now for this Spokane, WA Labor & Delivery RN travel assignment and join a healthcare team dedicated to exceptional maternal care.
