Director of Sales & Marketing

As our Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be the driving force behind the hotel's sales strategy and market presence. You'll have the opportunity to build the business, lead the team, develop key accounts, and create strategies that directly impact the hotel's success. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead the hotel's overall sales and marketing strategy to achieve and exceed revenue goals. Develop and execute annual sales, marketing, and business development plans. Drive corporate, group, leisure, meetings, and local account production. Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, corporate partners, community organizations, and local businesses. Identify new revenue opportunities and develop strategies to increase occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel profitability. Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve individual and hotel goals. Conduct regular sales calls, client appointments, site tours, networking events, and community outreach. Analyze market trends, competitive activity, pace, production, and account performance to identify opportunities. Partner closely with the General Manager, Revenue Management, Operations, and Marriott teams. Develop creative marketing initiatives that increase awareness, demand, and revenue. Manage sales expenses and ensure resources are aligned with business priorities. Maintain a strong understanding of the Raleigh/Cary market, competitive set, demand generators, and key accounts. Utilize Marriott systems and sales tools to track activity, production, forecasts, and performance. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 3+ years of hotel sales experience; leadership experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals. Strong understanding of hotel sales, revenue management, and market segmentation. Experience with corporate, group, and transient business development. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and networking skills. Strong organizational skills and follow-through. Marriott experience strongly preferred. Experience with PEP, Opera, Lighthouse, Demand360, Kalibri Labs, and other hotel sales/revenue platforms is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
