Construction Manager

Our Data Centers group is currently looking to add a Construction Manager to our new team, based on-site at various locations across Canada.

Reporting to the Director, Data Centers, we are seeking an experienced and technically versatile Construction Manager with knowledge of data center construction to oversee daily on-site construction activities across civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, and technology infrastructure scopes. This position serves as the primary point of contact for Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and the client, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Please Note: This is a field and office-based position and must be able to accommodate multiple shift requirements based on project schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Execution & Management

• Develop and maintain construction execution plans, organizing and controlling all aspects of on-site work including civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, and technology infrastructure scopes
• Monitor construction progress and implement corrective actions; ensure all internal and external project processes are followed and projects are delivered on time, on budget, and safely
• Coordinate manpower and subcontractor allocations across multiple projects; work with Fleet and Equipment teams to ensure appropriate resources are deployed effectively
• Work with QA/QC Management teams to ensure adequate quality oversight including compliance with data center commissioning requirements
• Lead daily planning sessions with on-site personnel and prepare progress reports for the Director outlining project performance against schedule, budget, safety, and quality metrics

Training, Personnel & Labour Relations

• Support Human Resources in managing labour relations across both union and non-union workforces as applicable to project requirements
• Lead training and development of field crews, supervisors, and foremen; support recruitment of field supervisory staff

Estimating & Business Development

• Support the estimating and proposal process including reviewing estimate requirements, submittal packages, pricing, scheduling, and preparation of written deliverables
• Manage existing client relationships and support the development of new customer relationships
