Lead Systems Business Analyst

Location:11501 Outlook Street, Overland Park KansasAbout the JobBuild relationships with business stakeholders and other operational areas to ensure complete understanding of processes.Create and support static and ad-hoc report requests generated by business users.OCC Compliance reporting, including data quality and audit support for HMDA and Reg. BFinancial Analysis & ReportingIntra-month and month-end general ledger reconciliation and reporting for CMG revenueResolution of loan-level revenue variances between source systems and general ledgerReconciliation and analysis of CMG warehouse line activity and balances, and related interest income and funding chargesReconciliation of CLOSER system with Tableau and results published by FinanceQuarterly regulatory reporting for warehouse activity and balances; support of related audit requestsRevenue projection support and maintenanceExpense analysisSystems Support:Provide first level of assistance for production support requests. Verify support issues are properly documented and clearly defined. Work with system manager to determine priority and resolution method.Assist operational areas with systems components of special projects.Provide business expertise relative to products, systems and specifications for customizing software applications, interfaces, reports, screens, etc.Identify the business needs of the users, outline potential solutions, and translate to an appropriate format for technical requirements.Collaborates with users, vendor, and development team members to deliver the best technical solution which meets the business requirements.Assist with testing, implementation and training for new technology and enhancements to existing technology.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; additional coursework in management information systems preferred.Minimum three to five years of accounting or comparable experience.Familiarity with general ledger posting and reconciliation processes, as well as revenue recognition principles.Ability to research and resolve financial reporting variances.Ability to self-teach software packages.High-level understanding of interface mechanics, relational database theory and basic programming conceptsStrong background working with on-line information systems including PC-based systems and thorough knowledge of PC spreadsheet software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a high degree of analytical skills.Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExposure to loan servicing and commercial real estate principles a plus.Experience in each stage of the software development lifecycleFamiliarity with CLOSER, KART, Workday (General Ledger), Crystal Reports, SQL, TableauCOMPETENCIESAccountability: Keeps promises and honors commitments; accepts responsibility for mistakes and failures and learns from them; honors commitments and demonstrates open, honest communication.Courage: Openly expresses views and delivers candid and constructive feedback with a positive mindset to teammates and manager; welcomes constructive feedback and strives to improve effectiveness based upon feedback; steps up to conflict and views it as an opportunity; finds common ground and fosters cooperation with minimum noise.Drive for Results: Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; is consistently a solid performer, is very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results; demonstrates personal accountability for achieving results within established timelines and budget parameters; pursues work with energy, drive and focus.Client Focus: Understands the value of excellent client service and demonstrates commitment to client satisfaction for internal and external clients while balancing organizational profitability; actively listens to internal/external client feedback and delivers appropriate solutions; applies judgment within established guidelines to resolve client issues and needs and escalates issues to manager when appropriate.Effective Collaboration: Identifies and involves the right stakeholders to make decisions and maximize results; readily shares information, knowledge, best practices, and ideas with teammates; leverages opportunities and capabilities across the team to accomplish goals; attentive and active listener; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinion of others even when he/she disagrees.Position requires the ability to operate office equipment, including a PC and calculator, communicate with customers and/or employees. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
