Rehabilitation CNA

Overview We are seeking a Rehabilitation CNA , also referred to as a Rehab Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Rehab CNA. The Rehab CNA work with patients in the recovery process who are undergoing rehabilitation after surgery, injury, or illness. The Rehab CNA work closely with other healthcare professionals and provide hands‑on support to help patients regain their strength, mobility, and independence. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Shift’s Available: Days Employment Type: Full time Hours: 7:00am-7:00pm (12-hour shifts) Location: St. Joseph Medical Center - Kansas City, MO Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding while promoting dignity and independence Support mobility and rehabilitation exercises under therapist guidance to improve strength, balance, and coordination safely Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ physical and emotional conditions to nursing staff for timely intervention Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by organizing patient areas and removing hazards to prevent injury and infection Assist with positioning and transferring patients using safe techniques to prevent pressure ulcers and promote circulation Encourage and motivate patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation programs by providing emotional support and positive reinforcement Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: A current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintained Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possesses knowledge of medical terminology Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: Employment Status Full Time Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
