Doctor of Medicine | Cardiology - General/Other Location: Richmond, VA Employer: SalviaCore Solutions Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will manage a varied workload consisting of inpatient services, outpatient clinic visits, and call coverage. Primary clinical responsibilities include performing and interpreting electrocardiograms (EKGs) and managing Advanced Heart Failure cases. While collaborating with the Medical Director, you will provide oversight for four advanced practice clinicians (APCs) who work independently. Clinical documentation is managed through the EPIC EMR system. Qualifications & Credentialing To ensure the highest standard of patient safety and care, candidates must meet the following requirements: Board Certification: Must be a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist. Specialized Experience: Completion of an Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) Fellowship and direct experience with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) is required. Certifications: Must hold current Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certification and ACLS. Licensure: Candidates must possess an active Virginia medical license and a valid DEA registration. Residency: This role is strictly for local providers; please note that only mileage is reimbursed. Submission Documents: A Self-Query NPDB report pulled within the last 30 days is required at the time of presentation. Background: A clean background is necessary for consideration. While standard credentialing takes approximately 120 days, temporary privileges may be offered to qualified candidates.
