Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a well-respected architecture & engineering firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Key Responsibilities: Lead & provide direction on mechanical engineering projects across a wide range of market sectors from commercial to healthcare, from concept to completion in compliance with industry standards. Oversee the production of all phases of construction documents including schematic documents, design documents, construction documents, bidding and construction administration. Perform business development functions, including marketing and networking & maintain involvement in professional organizations. Provide input to department standards and procedures. Collaborate directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams (electrical, architecture, civil) to deliver integrated solutions. Conduct facility assessments, field assessments and engineering studies, and perform commissioning work and site visits. Provide mentorship & guidance to project team members to assist in their professional growth and development. Foster positive communication among team members and across disciplines. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 10+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering for buildings. Subject matter expertise in building mechanical systems & strong problem solving ability. Excellent communication, leadership & organization skills. PE License (required). LEED AP and/or ASHRAE accreditation (preferred). Salary: $125,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits and unique offerings included. Employment type: Full-time.
