Job Description

Auto Body & Fiberglass Technician | Las Vegas, NV

Nexeo Staffing is hiring a hands-on Auto Body & Fiberglass Technician for a creative custom fabrication company in Las Vegas.

This isn't your typical production job. You'll help build and finish large-scale custom props, displays, exhibits, and specialty pieces used for concerts, trade shows, special events, and brand experiences.

You do NOT need previous event or prop-building experience.

If you've worked in auto body, collision repair, fiberglass repair, boat repair, composites, bodywork, or hands-on custom fabrication, your skills may transfer well to this position.

Responsibilities

• Sand, grind, shape, and finish custom fabricated parts.
• Prepare surfaces for fiberglass, resin, bodywork, and finishing.
• Perform fiberglass layup and repair.
• Measure and cut fiberglass mat and cloth.
• Mix and apply resin, hardeners, catalysts, and related materials.
• Remove air bubbles and ensure fiberglass is properly saturated.
• Trim and finish cured fiberglass components.
• Repair surface imperfections and prepare pieces for paint.
• Work with molds and custom-shaped components.
• Use DA/orbital sanders, grinders, cutters, drills, rollers, and hand tools.
• Measure accurately using a tape measure.
• Inspect finished work for shape, fit, and surface quality.
• Follow proper PPE and safety procedures.

You May Be a Great Fit If You've Worked As A:

Experience sanding, grinding, repairing, shaping, applying resin, working with fiberglass/composites, performing bodywork, or preparing surfaces for paint is especially valuable.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous hands-on auto body, fiberglass, composite, marine, collision repair, or similar fabrication experience.
• Experience using sanders, grinders, cutters, drills, or similar tools.
• Comfortable performing detailed hands-on fabrication and finishing work.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow measurements.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working around fiberglass dust, resins, adhesives, and strong odors while wearing appropriate PPE.
