Job Description: As a People Operations Specialist at Grip, you'll own the full employee lifecycle for our Texas on-site team. That means filling roles from warehouse associates up to management, making sure every hour worked is captured and paid correctly, and running on-site pre-employment screening. You'll work closely with facility leadership and People Ops Manager. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable on the warehouse floor and in the details of payroll. You'll be the go-to HR presence for a growing facility, with real ownership and a direct impact on how the team is hired, paid, and supported. Specific responsibilities: Own full-cycle recruiting for packers, pickers, forklift operators, line leads, supervisors, and managers. This includes writing and posting jobs, sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, and extending offers. Build a steady pipeline of hourly candidates to support volume swings, peak season, and fast backfills. Partner with facility managers to understand staffing needs and forecast hiring ahead of demand. Manage job postings and applicant flow on Indeed, LinkedIn, and local channels such as job fairs, staffing partners, and community organizations. Coordinate new-hire onboarding so employees arrive with paperwork complete and are ready to start on day one. Monitor daily timekeeping for all facility employees, including tracking, logging, and editing hours and resolving missed punches. Review and approve timecards for each pay period, including overtime, PTO, and shift differentials where applicable. Keep records compliant with federal and Texas wage-and-hour requirements. Initiate and manage pre-employment background checks and track them through to clearance. Administer drug testing, including pre-employment, random, reasonable-suspicion, and post-incident testing, following company policy and vendor protocols. Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions on pay, schedules, policies, and benefits. Maintain accurate employee files and HR data. Qualifications: 2+ years of HR, recruiting, or People Ops experience, ideally in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or another high-volume hourly environment. Proven experience with high-volume hourly recruiting. Hands-on experience with timekeeping and payroll processing, including timecard edits and approvals. Familiarity with background check and drug testing processes. On-site collection experience is a strong plus. Strong attention to detail and comfort with confidential information. Organized and dependable, and able to manage many priorities in a fast-paced operation. Comfortable with HRIS and payroll platforms, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft 365. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Experience supporting a new or growing facility is a plus. Knowledge of Texas employment law and DOT/non-DOT drug testing standards is a plus.
