Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent technical training preferred
- AWS Welding Certification is a plus
- Minimum 4 years of professional welding experience
- Strong TIG welding experience required
- Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and AWS welding symbols
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, rulers, and squares
- Knowledge of welding machine setup and operation
- Basic math and measurement conversion skills
- Perform TIG welding on large and small weldments with tight tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings
- Lay out, fit, tack, and fabricate weldments using fixtures and jigs
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Operate welding equipment, grinders, hand tools, and measuring instruments
- Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Frequently stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and grasp
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs continuously
- Perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift
- Maintain close visual attention for welding and inspection work
- Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
