Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Social Media Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team in executing daily social media strategies and content initiatives. This role works directly under the Marketing Manager and plays a key part in maintaining brand consistency, engagement, and growth across all platforms.

The ideal candidate is flexible, enthusiastic, coachable, and eager to learn, with a strong understanding of social media trends and a positive, team-first attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Scheduling

• Assist in creating engaging content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others
• Capture photo and video content (as needed) for daily posts, reels, and stories
• Schedule posts using social media management tools
• Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, messaging, and visual standards
• Utilize a social media calendar to plan and schedule posts.

Community Engagement

• Monitors comments, reviews, messages, and mentions across platforms
• Respond to followers in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner
• Engage with local community pages, partners, and followers to increase visibility

Trend Monitoring & Execution

• Stay up to date with social media trends, and platform updates
• Assist in identifying and executing relevant trends for brand growth
• Bring creative ideas for reels, campaigns, and promotions

Administrative Support

• Assist with content calendars and planning
• Support the Marketing Manager with campaign execution
• Help track performance metrics and compile monthly reports
• Answer customer calls, and maintain proper phone etiquette

Requirements

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Basic knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to take direction and implement feedback effectively
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Canva, TikTok, CapCut, or similar content tools
• Basic photography and video editing skills
• Familiarity with social media scheduling platforms
