Job Overview Surgical Technician assists the surgical team during procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, and ensuring surgical equipment is available and functioning properly. They also assist with routine patient care activities under the supervision of nurses and physicians. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Completion of a Surgical Technician training program from an accredited school 2‑3 years of experience in a main OR Certifications and Licenses Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Day shift 7a-3:30pm On call required Holiday call on rotation Essential Functions Must have strong knowledge and skill to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, general, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written) Must be flexible, able to multitask and work independently Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
