An exciting contract opportunity awaits skilled Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants seeking a dynamic school-based experience. Help make a difference across four school buildings and support K-12 students in a vibrant setting near beautiful Putney, VT. This district position offers a collaborative atmosphere working with both OTs and COTAs to deliver exceptional care and guidance.

This full-time role features between 35 and 37.5 hours per week, spanning the academic year from late August to mid-June. Occupational Therapists will provide district-wide services for all grade levels (K-12), while the COTA will focus on students in grades 5-12, in addition to some coverage of grades 2-4 under the district OTs supervision.

Qualifications:

• Valid VT Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certificate required
• School-based OT experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working with students of various ages and needs
• Detail-oriented and able to document services in compliance with school and district requirements

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
• Develop relevant materials and interventions
• Oversee and mentor COTA (for OT role), and provide support as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliant records
