Temporary Community Pet Clinic Operations Support Assistant

The Community Pet Clinic Operations Support Assistant provides hands‑on operational support for PetSpace's community‑based animal wellness and vaccination clinics, including setup, breakdown, logistics, equipment, day‑of operations. On days when the position is not supporting a community clinic, the role will provide similar hands‑on facilities and operations support at PetSpace or other locations, which may include setup and breakdown, moving equipment and supplies, and other logistical tasks. This role is ideal for a dependable, energetic individual who is comfortable working around animals, enjoys being part of a team, and can work efficiently in a fast‑paced, often outdoor environment. The position also provides basic technology support as needed. This position reports directly to the Director of Facilities and Operations and receives day‑of site direction from the designated site lead.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

Incumbents may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position‑specific tasks. Work with the organization’s Operations team to prepare, organize, and load supplies and equipment for clinics. Assist with the setup and breakdown of clinic locations, including tents, tables, chairs, signage, equipment, and supplies. Provide general operational support to the Clinic team as it pertains to all equipment, supplies, signage, and site logistics. Troubleshoot minor technology issues related to clinic operations, including laptops, printers, tablets, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout clinic operations. Load, unload, and move supplies and equipment as needed for clinic and other operations‑related work. Communicate and work collaboratively with team members, clinic partners, and participants in a positive and professional manner that exemplifies the Wallis Annenberg touch. Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to compose routine correspondence. Be comfortable working in active environments around dogs and other animals. Related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and web‑based systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. An individual who can contribute to the culture of respect for all individuals and animals. Prior experience with event setup, facilities, operations, customer service, animal welfare, or community events is a plus, but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, grasp grip, put fingers together firmly and reach above and below shoulder level and lift up to 50 lbs, push or pull requirements of up to 100 pounds on Dolly or cart, repetitively use of hands to operate computers; flex the neck upward and downward; twist the neck and the waist. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. WORK CONDITIONS: Community clinic locations will vary. Clinic work will generally take place outdoors and requires being on your feet for extended periods. Sunday availability is required, along with availability for up to two additional days per week. The additional days may or may not involve clinic work; however, the duties are expected to be similar in nature and may include hands‑on facilities and operations support, setup and breakdown, moving equipment and supplies, and other logistical tasks. The specific additional days can be determined collaboratively based on operational needs.
