Critical Care Intensivist Opportunity - New Bern, North Carolina Seeking a Critical Care Intensivist to serve as the primary physician for ICU patients at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC Äî specializing in inpatient medicine and coordinating all aspects of care for hospitalized patients. Position Details

• Primary physician oversight for ICU patients during hospitalization
• Patient admissions, appropriate hospital placement, and case management
• Coordination of care with primary care physicians, consulting specialists, and sub-specialists
• End-of-life preference discussions and palliative care coordination
• Timely and proactive discharge planning with appropriate follow-up arrangements
• Effective utilization of hospital resources
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off Full-time Day shift
• Reports to the Medical Director
Qualifications
• Active North Carolina physician's license and DEA certification
• Board certified in Critical Care Medicine
• Must be in good standing with the Medical Staff of CarolinaEast Medical Center
