JOB DESCRIPTION

Wright Technical Services is proud to represent an Ohio-based global industrial technology a nd manufacturing company for this position. We're seeking an experienced TekLynx Technical Subject Matter Expert to support the Global Integrated Label Printing initiative. This resource will provide hands-on technical expertise across TekLynx Central, CodeSoft, Sentinel Manager, printer integration, label template governance, and shop floor deployment support. The role will help establish a scalable, supportable, and governed label printing architecture that ensures the right label is printed for the right material, at the right time, using approved data sources and standardized processes.

Note, the G lobal Integrated Label Printing program is intended to replace fragmented, localized print-on-demand solutions with a standardized enterprise labeling platform integrated with manufacturing systems such as SAP, MES, TekLynx, CodeSoft, and plant floor printer infrastructure. The initiative is focused on improving label accuracy, production reliability, traceability, compliance, audit readiness, and supportability across manufacturing sites.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•Strong hands-on experience with TekLynx Central, CodeSoft, Sentinel Manager, Label Design, Label Printing Administration, and Production Label Support.

•Experience supporting manufacturing, shop floor, warehouse, or regulated labeling environments where label accuracy, traceability, uptime, and auditability are critical.

•Working knowledge of label template design, data field mapping, database connections, printer routing, barcode standards, label version control, and controlled promotion between environments.

•Experience integrating label printing platforms with MES, ERP, SAP, SQL databases, middleware, or plant floor systems.

•Ability to troubleshoot printer connectivity, label formatting, print queue, Sentinel job, workstation, server, database, and data mapping issues.

•Understanding of manufacturing label use cases such as finished goods, work-in-process, pallet labels, reprints, changeovers, QA release, and exception handling.

•Ability to translate business and quality requirements into practical technical configurations and supportable deployment standards.

•Strong documentation, knowledge transfer, and cross-functional communication skills.

•Comfortable working with site operations, IT infrastructure, application teams, vendors, and project leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•Experience with Zebra industrial printers and shop floor printer standards.

•Experience with SAP, Apriso MES, SAP BTP, or other manufacturing execution and integration platforms.

•Experience supporting global or multi-site manufacturing deployments.

•Knowledge of barcode, RFID, scanner, vision validation, or label verification capabilities.

•Experience establishing DEV, TEST, PROD governance for label templates, configuration, and controlled deployment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Serve as the technical SME for TekLynx Central, CodeSoft, Sentinel Manager, label printing workflows, and related configuration across manufacturing environments.

•Assess current-state label printing architecture, templates, printer configurations, Sentinel jobs, database dependencies, and integration points across pilot and rollout sites.

•Support the design and implementation of a standardized TekLynx and CodeSoft operating model, including template governance, security roles, deployment controls, and production support handoff.

•Partner with MES, SAP, infrastructure, desktop engineering, site support, operations, and quality teams to define technical requirements and validate end-to-end label printing workflows.

•Configure, troubleshoot, and validate label templates, print queues, printer routing, label data mapping, and integration behavior across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments.

•Support integration scenarios where ERP, MES, SAP BTP, SCADA, or other manufacturing systems provide product, order, material, batch, line, and quantity data to TekLynx for label generation.

•Help define and document standards for controlled label design, template lifecycle management, printer assignment, reprint controls, exception handling, and audit traceability.

•Assist with pilot deployments, issue resolution, site readiness reviews, user acceptance testing, production cutover, and stabilization support.

•Provide technical documentation, configuration guides, deployment checklists, knowledge transfer, and support procedures for long-term sustainment.

•Identify technical risks, integration gaps, support constraints, and opportunities to reduce local customization and long-term technical debt.

DELIVERABLES

The goal for this TekLynx Technical SME is to provide specialized TekLynx technical expertise during project planning, design, pilot deployment, and stabilization. The resource should be able to work independently, drive technical discovery, document recommendations, and collaborate closely with Project Management and internal Technical teams to accelerate delivery while building long-term support capability.

Deliverables include but are not limited to:

•Current-state technical assessment of TekLynx, CodeSoft, Sentinel Manager, label templates, printer configuration, and integration dependencies.

•Recommended target-state configuration and technical architecture for standardized label printing.

•Documented template governance, promotion, security, reprint, and support processes.

•Configuration and troubleshooting support for pilot sites and initial rollout locations.

•Technical deployment checklist and cutover support plan.

•Knowledge transfer materials for application support, site support, and operations teams.
