Senior Oracle Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Developer to join our Financial Applications team, specifically supporting Credit and Customer-Centric projects. This role is responsible for the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications with a strong emphasis on Oracle database development, batch processing, and performance optimization in an Exadata environment. The developer will work closely with stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and participate throughout the full software development life cycle (SDLC), ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions. Job Responsibilities: Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs Design, develop, and maintain complex OLTP Oracle-based database applications in multi-tier architecture Create PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, materialized views, and triggers for high-performance applications Perform impact analysis, performance tuning, and optimization using Oracle Exadata Manage and support batch processing using UNIX shell scripts and Control-M Participate in system design, peer code reviews, testing, and documentation in Confluence Track development progress using JIRA, manage source control in GitHub Support critical production applications including Accounts Receivable, Credit Collection, and Email Management systems Provide tier-2 on-call production support and resolve technical issues Mentor junior developers and share best practices and technical guidance Coordinate and/or supervise development team tasks Participate in project planning, feasibility analysis, and cost-benefit evaluation Engage in application server maintenance, patching, audit compliance, and SOX reporting Required Skills: 8+ years of IT experience in Oracle database development in OLTP systems Expertise in Oracle 11g, Exadata, and Oracle RAC clusters Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL, complex SQL, SQL Loader, LOBs, and multilingual character conversion Proven skills in UNIX/Linux/Solaris scripting for batch processing Experience with JIRA, GitHub, Control-M, Microservices / Bhoomi Services Deep understanding of performance tuning techniques in Oracle Familiarity with business applications such as Accounts Receivable systems Experience with large data movement and data quality optimization Strong documentation, presentation, and verbal/written communication skills Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams Preferred Skills: Willingness to learn and contribute to Java / J2EE development Experience with XML, SQL Reports, unit testing methods for PL/SQL Exposure to application security and audit compliance (e.g., SOX) Certifications: [Not Specified – Oracle Certifications are a plus] Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education Email ID * This field is required Please enter valid emailId.
