Specialty Representative/Sr Specialty Representative -Primary Care -Shelby, NC

Amgen seeks a Specialty or Senior Specialty Representative to serve the Shelby, North Carolina territory, delivering clinical knowledge of pharmaceutical products to medical professionals and driving sales in primary care. The role requires territory management, customer relationship building, and execution of marketing strategies across multiple nearby locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical knowledge and communicate product benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
• Achieve territory sales targets through branded messaging, educational programs, and both in-person and virtual engagement
• Develop and manage customer accounts, customize interactions based on needs, ensure product access, and resolve reimbursement issues
• Analyze territory performance, provide marketing feedback, and collaborate with District Manager on territory planning
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and maintain brand presence while serving patient needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4+ years sales experience, or High school diploma with 6+ years sales experience
• For Senior level: Bachelor's with 3+ years sales or clinical healthcare experience, or equivalent with Associate/High school and additional years
• Demonstrated sales or clinical experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or related industries
• Advanced relationship-building and influencing skills focused on sales outcomes
• Preferred: product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, gastroenterology, or related specialties
• Knowledge of Core Competencies: sales planning, business/technical knowledge, impact communication, results-driven approach, and relationship cultivation
