As one of the nation's largest nonprofit Catholic healthcare organizations, CommonSpirit Health delivers more than 20 million patient encounters annually through more than 2,300 clinics, care sites and 158 hospital-based locations, in addition to its home-based services and virtual care offerings.As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.Job RequirementsRequiredGraduation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)Accredited through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Thirty (30) continuing medical education credits are required every three (3) years to maintain ARDMS credentialTraining in cardiovascular sonography; and extensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and physicsAbility to assist immobile and/or disabled patientsAbility to use reasoning and deduction in making medical judgments and to use sound judgement in the face of emergenciesAbility to be patient, flexible and maintain a high level of professional behavior requiredExcellent interpersonal skills
