Phlebotomist ILocation: Crestview, FL 32536 Duration: 2 months/ temp to hire Shift Time: Mon-Fri 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST every 3rd Saturday rotationJob DescriptionThe Phlebotomist I serves as the first point of contact for patients at the Patient Service Center. This role requires exceptional customer service skills to assist patients with checking in, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth workflow.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform daily activities of the Patient Care Center with accuracy and timeliness.Draw quality blood samples from patients, forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing dutiesUnder the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on timeMaintain a safe and professional environmentPerform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correctMaintains require records and documentation.Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.Collect both forensic and clinical specimens confidently and skillfully following established procedures.Prepare specimens for lab testing and maintain required documentation and records.Provide a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.Deliver a high standard of customer service and professionalism to patients, clients, and team members.Promote a positive image of the company and demonstrate strong organizational commitment.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 1-3 years experience.Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).SkillsKeyboard/data entryLeadership skillsProcess excellence skills.Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.Other DesiredMedical assistant or paramedic training preferred.6 months phlebotomy experience preferred.Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
