About the Position

Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: - EPIC EMR Experience Required - Ability to manage telemetry strips and pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test Description: Responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed to work in the telemetry and medical/surgical unit. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with other health team members. Effectively interacts with patients and significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high-quality care to patient populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry. Floating to other units may be required, including emergency department if needed. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Medical/surgical ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Each traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour if called in. All travelers must be able to work every other weekend. Critical care experience may lead to occasional floating to critical care units.
