Description

• Conduct assessments across diverse populations, pinpointing needs through standardized testing and hands-on observation.
• Craft individualized therapy plans that balance immediate objectives with long-term communication and swallowing goals.
• Deliver specialized, one-on-one therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and dysphagia.
• Team up with a dedicated group of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive and collaborative care approaches.
• Provide guidance and educational support to patients and their families to boost progression beyond your clinical interactions.
• Tackle inpatient therapy assessments and treatments as needed, ensuring consistency in care and patient comfort throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain thorough and timely records that comply with all relevant regulatory standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in your field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of your start date.
