JobID: 3770 Title: Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach Job Location: Paw Paw High School Reports To: Athletic Director Job Type: 2026/2027 Season Contract Qualifications Must possess high school diploma Extensive experience with Basketball Successful past coaching experience preferred Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 Certification & First Aid/CPR Certified Strong organizational skills, with ability to construct comprehensive off-season programs Able to coordinate/teach basketball skills and strategy to build a competitive varsity program Strong personal/social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media Must have thorough knowledge of Hudl, and the ability to schedule, share, clip, and create video for player and coach development. Must have experience in running social media platforms for the program Willingness to lead and develop sub-varsity programs to feed a successful varsity team (Preferred) Possesses knowledge of the current MHSAA rules and regulations (Preferred) Willingness to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body (Preferred) Possesses the ability to motivate athletes / coaches to work toward program philosophy/goals (Preferred) Job Description Coordinate in-season and out-of-season practice/training opportunities for grades 6-12 Develop program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 6-12 Develop cohesive coaching relationships that work to develop coaches and athletes grades 6-12 Teach and instruct the all aspects of basketball, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes Provide coaching, encouragement, and instructional guidance to all athletes & staff in the program, youth-Varsity STATEMENT OF NON-DISCRIMINATION: It is the policy of the Paw Paw Public School District that no discriminatory practices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, height, weight, marital status, disability, genetic information or any other status covered by federal, state, or local law be allowed during any program, activity, service, or in employment.
