Details 22-bed telemetry/med-surg unit caring for complex patients including CHF, stroke, ESRD, and post-op cases Patients admitted from ICU, ED, and PACU Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly 0.9 FTE position Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required Current BLS certification required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred ACLS, NIHSS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required within 6 months of start No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and coordination across the nursing process Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with case management Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs Collaborate closely with an inter-professional care team to support a healing, patient-centered environment First-time travelers welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-749774.
