Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Breakthrough Public Schools (BPS) is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our Woodland Hills campus in their Multi-Intensive Autism Center.The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will provide ABA programming to students in our multi-intensive autism center throughout the school day, and will oversee integrity of the programming and all service activities that occur for assigned students. The BCBA will participate in educational team meetings, assist in determining IEP goals, and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as needed. The BCBA provides coaching to BTs and RBTs, and will provide RBT supervision in accordance with the BACB guidelines.Essential Functions:We have a dedicated team that supports IEP writing and compliance to allow the BCBA time to plan, deliver and respond to programming. IEP writing and compliance are the primary responsibility of the Compliance Manager and NOT the BCBA.Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians, and coworkersConduct continuous assessments of students skills and needs.Design and effectively deliver developmentally appropriate ABA programming which reflects assessments and goals of individual studentsCollect data and maintain accurate data collections systemsWork with the faculty and school leadership to frequently examine student data for ongoing refinement of assessment and programmingEstablish a classroom culture of high expectations for all students in the centerFacilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student progressCommit to ensuring the safety of the student, and the proper utilization of de-escalation strategies, when neededCollaborate with Compliance Managers on IEP development and processKeep the center environment organized, attractive and safeProvide targeted small group and individual programming to students throughout the day to help them achieve their IEP goalsProvide a range of antecedent and consequence strategies to meet the needs of all the learners in the centerProvide coaching and training to BTs & RBTs on the implementation of program modalities and interventionsProvide RBT supervision in accordance to BACB guidelinesKeep accurate and organized records of student informationActively engage in identity work and necessary conversations in order to dismantle white supremacy cultureMinimum Qualifications:Education:Master's degree, requiredPsychology, Education, Special Education or related field, preferredExperience:Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Experience in a school setting requiredExperience utilizing technology in an instructional environmentExperience with ABA programming and behavior intervention plan (BIP)Experience coaching and supervising BTs and RBTsExperience with engaging in cultural humility and self-reflectionLicensure and Certification(s):BCBA and COBA certification in good standing, requiredAble to supervise RBTs (Completed 8 hour BACB supervision training), requiredTechnical Skills and Knowledge:Passionate about urban education and working in communities that have historically been underserved and under-resourcedExperience providing targeted and individualized programming to students with autismExceptional level of patience and focus to overcome challenges, and achieve resultsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailsCommitted to thoughtfully engaging in identity work necessary to take a culturally responsive approach to pedagogy and relationship-building with students and colleaguesAbility to use and analyze data to drive programing decisionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWork Environment and Physical Demands:Performs work in an office setting with moderate levels of noise, sitting for long periods of time, repetitive motion using computers and phones, with exposure to fluorescent lightingBreakthrough Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin.
