Social Studies Teacher (Grades 6–8) 2026–2027 School Year Paragon Science Academy | Chandler, AZ Paragon Science Academy is a public charter school serving grades K–12 in Chandler, Arizona. We are currently recruiting a Middle School Social Studies Teacher (Grades 6–8) for the 2026–2027 school year. Job Responsibilities Teach Social Studies to grades 6, 7, and 8 , with two sections per grade level Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction using Arizona Academic Standards Develop and implement daily lesson plans that are engaging, rigorous, and age-appropriate Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance in required systems Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners Establish and maintain a structured, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment Integrate literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills into Social Studies instruction Support interdisciplinary learning and collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and content areas Communicate regularly and professionally with students, parents, and school staff Participate in team meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning Implement school and network policies, procedures, and expectations consistently Support students' social-emotional development and overall well-being Participate in school events, activities, and duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Compassionate, confident educator with strong ethics and integrity Clear, respectful, and consistent communicator Strong classroom management and organizational skills Creative and engaging instructional style Positive, professional demeanor with emotional self-regulation Collaborative team player Excellent verbal and written communication skills Genuine passion for teaching and learning Education, Experience & Certification Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Arizona Department of Education Certification (preferred) Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Compensation & Benefits Competitive medical insurance with employer contributions Vision and dental coverage Life insurance and short- and long-term disability plans 401(k) retirement plan with employer match (pre-tax and Roth options) Equal Opportunity Employer Sonoran Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
