Job Description: Responsible for scheduling, planning and implementing instruction for students with disabilities in conjunction with the general education classroom teacher. Duties and Responsibilities: Monitoring student progress, writing IEPs and scheduling and training of Instructional Assistants. SEI endorsement preferred. Licensing/Certification Requirements: Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required. Employment Information: 2026-27 school year; 194 work days ( 216/212 day teacher calendar) Salary link: Certified Future Requirement for K-5: Literacy Endorsement (unless you hold a Reading K-8, Reading K-12 or Reading Specialist K-12 endorsement) Timeline Teachers who were certified on or before 8/1/2025 have until 8/1/2028 to obtain the literacy endorsement. Teachers who certify after 8/1/2025 will have 3 years from certificate issuance to obtain the literacy endorsement. Teachers who graduate from AZ colleges in 2025 should have completed the coursework and should have the certificate on their licenses.
