Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Industry: Trade Association / Thinktank Location (city, state): Washington, DC (Hybrid) Assignment Type: Contract | ~3 months Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 / Per Hour depending on experience Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). This role offers the opportunity to join a supportive HR team in a hybrid work environment. Job Description We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the HR department within day-to-day HR operations. This role assists with various functions across HR including recruitment, benefits administration, employee records management, HRIS management, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day employee relations by addressing questions, resolving workplace concerns, and supporting a positive, compliant work environment Administer HR programs and processes such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits enrollment, and maintaining accurate employee records Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, screening candidates, and partnering with hiring managers throughout the hiring process Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies by maintaining documentation, assisting with audits, and staying current on employment laws Assist with performance management, employee engagement initiatives, and training programs to support overall team development and retention Qualifications 3-5+ years of HR Generalist experience, ideally within a nonprofit association or professional services setting Proven experience within overall HR operations, benefits administration, recruitment, payroll, HRIS management, and compliance Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems (ideally ADP Workforce Now), and ATS systems Strong attention to detail, process-driven, collaborative, proactive Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM certification preferred Perks Collaborative and dynamic work environment Opportunity to contribute to a hard-working team and organization Continued development across a variety of HR functions Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
