Ultrasonographer

GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides clinical assessment and clinical treatment to all patients presented to the Bryan Cancer Center or Bryan Counseling Center or our affiliates utilizing appropriate individual treatments inclusive of individual, family and group therapy to address identified patient needs. Must be able to relate to and work well with people of all cultures and ages, providing clinical services appropriate to individual and group needs. Works as part of an integrated health team and assists with program development as needed. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. *Completes the Initial Diagnostic Interview, Mental Status Exam and patient diagnosis upon patient admission; makes recommendations for treatment and referral as appropriate. *Develops individualized treatment plans which define plan of services and intervention and updates treatment plans according to regulatory requirements and as appropriate to provide optimum outpatient care. *Independently provides individual, group and family therapy as needed to address patient treatment needs in person or by telehealth; provides crisis intervention services as appropriate. *Completes documentation and billing in a timely manner in accordance with Medical Center guidelines and all relevant HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission and other oversight and regulatory requirements. *Maintains appropriate size caseload in meeting productivity expectations; provides community-based, developmentally appropriate and culturally competent care to all patients. *Attends outpatient staff meetings for team communication, clinical staffing and other meetings as assigned. *Abides by all professional and corporate ethical standards. Utilizes Trauma Informed Care Principles. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk "*". REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Maintains clinical competency as required for the unit including but not limited to age-specific competencies relative to patient’s growth and developmental needs, annual skill competency verification and mandatory education and competencies. Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions. Knowledge of the principles and practice of social work and supportive and group counseling techniques. Knowledge of Family Systems Theory including cultural diversity and the impact of chronic illness and disability. Knowledge of crisis intervention methods. Knowledge of personal computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to job functions. Knowledge of telehealth practices, procedures and equipment. Skill in the practice of psychosocial assessment, focused interventions and facilitating group therapy. Ability to perform appropriate interventions with all age groups and with individuals of various cultures. Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and complete all documentation according to procedure. Ability to collaborate as a member of a treatment team. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff. Ability to problem solve and engage independent critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information. Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field required. Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) required. Experience working in an integrated health setting preferred, including working with oncology patients. Prior experience working with adult/youth patient populations in an outpatient setting preferred. OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS: Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
