Personal Care Worker

**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** **Description:** **PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT 2nd shift** **Location:** Elwyn, PA **Status:** Full time **Shift:** Monday - Friday, 2 pm to 1030 pm, every other weekend/holiday **Position Purpose:** This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support. **Position Details:** $2500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment paid in 3 installments. This program provides services to a community specifically comprised of deaf seniors. All candidates must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL). **What you will do:** + Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring. + Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting, grooming, and meals. + Aid in maintaining physical activity and exercise routines. + Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies. + Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping. + Report any changes in participant's condition to center staff. + Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail/elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring. + Must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL).
