Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling designed to meet department operational needs; flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department

Highlights:

• 101-bed emergency department in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
• High-volume facility serving over 100,000 visits annually
• Typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Cerner EMR system with modern equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitoring technology
• Support staff includes dedicated techs, unit clerks on days and nights, and cardiac monitoring specialists
• Work within a Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and awarded Leapfrog "A" safety rating

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting
• Prior experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department strongly preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications required prior to start
• CPI certification required upon hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Flexibility to work across all emergency department areas (no external floating required)
