Overview

Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities. The Staff Aide collaborates with the nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, residents, and families to support residents in attaining or maintaining the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living as directed by licensed staff.
• Monitor residents’ conditions, report changes, and document as required.
• Support residents with hygiene, mobility, meals, and comfort needs while maintaining safety and infection control standards.
• Assist in coordinating care with other team members and departments to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant per state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Attends in-service training and maintains continuing education hours if required for certification of position.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of computer software and programs.
• Available to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Schedule & Availability

Opportunities for full-time, part-time, or PRN (as needed) hours. Available shifts: days, evenings, or nights.
