Job Description
We are seeking a Director of Acquisition to join a growing construction company in Van Nuys, CA. This person will be responsible for strategic asset analysis and assisting with the development of property business plans and budgets. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a bachelors degree, construction experience and strong financial analysis and analytical thinking skills. Apply now for consideration!
Duties
- Strategic asset analysis identifying new and value-add investment opportunities.
- Ability to understand opportunities to acquire and develop across all major land uses - retail, multi-family, office, warehouse, etc.
- Ability to discover under-utilized properties in top tier markets with upside through redevelopment.
- Evaluate markets, conduct site visits, and have a thorough understanding of locations, potential strategies, and operational plans and requirements.
- Assist with the development of property business plans, budgets, and pro forma strategies.
- Developing and growing relationships within brokerage and ownership communities in target markets.
- Partner with in-house financial analysts in financial underwriting requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ plus years of proven acquisition experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in related field
- Working knowledge of contract law, zoning law and real estate finance
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Must be a motivated, self-starter with ability to productively work in a team environment effectively communicating and sharing information with people in other departments within the company
- Effective communicator (written and oral) with strong presentation skills Construction experience required
