SVP Engine Trading

This is an important role within the commercial team of an international aviation leasing business. The role will support a growing multi-regional trading team in their aircraft leasing and trading objectives with a primary focus on engine strategy, LOI and lease inputs in relation to engine life management for new and used aircraft in the green-time/end of life channels. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationship with airlines, aircraft lessors and engine MRO providers in the Americas region Take ownership of engine related aspects of trading, LOI/lease negotiations, asset monitoring, transition and repossession projects, and sales / part-out. Manage and develop innovative solutions to maximize asset value of engine and APUs for all stages of an engine life cycle Constantly review technical information from lessees, OEMs, vendors, regulatory authorities and other industry sources Identify issues affecting asset values, transition activities, lessee compliance with lease agreement and company exposure to lessee default. Benchmark engine and APU related maintenance costs, setting standards for engine and APU maintenance reserve values. Monitor on-lease engine and APU assets for issues which may affect the residual value of powerplants or aircraft. Support aircraft placements and sales with lessees through the negotiation of technical provisions of LOIs and lease agreements Manage on-lease engine and APU assets work plans, including the review of shop reports and engine records Qualifications 10+ years’ experience in a sales/marketing role within commercial aircraft engine leasing. A wide network of contacts with airlines, MRO and lessors. Experience in reviewing lease contracts and interpreting key terms in regard to rental and maintenance payments. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
